Happy New Year :) 🎊 🎈 🎉 It’s been a very relaxed, serene, and focused start to 2019 so far... I did my usual end-of-year reflection and goal-setting, and ended up spontaneously signing up for a 75km ultramarathon in 2 months (I hope I don’t regret this...) 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️ Here’s to a challenging, fun, and memorable 2019 😊

Samurai-hama (#侍浜), near the town of Kuji, #Iwate Prefecture. In the middle of the bay lies a famous rock - #Samuraiishi - where a famous samurai sat one day and looked out onto the ocean... it’s the perfect place to stop for a snack or a bite to eat along the #MichinokuCoastalTrail In #japan🇯🇵 ‘s northeastern #tohoku region :) #みちのく潮風トレイル #東北 #tohokujapan

Perfect start to the day 🌞 Early morning walk along the beach in Kukihama near Kuji City (#久慈市) in Iwate Prefecture. Great to be working on the @exploretohoku project again :) The 900km #MichinokuCoastalTrail runs along Tohoku’s stunning coast through Kuji, one of the more popular tourism destinations along the #Sanriku coastline. . . . . #みちのく潮風トレイル #ExploreTohoku #GoGoTohoku #JapanTravel2018 #JapnTraveler #HikeJapan #TrekJapan #japan_of_insta

An afternoon stroll along the #MichinokuCoastalTrail in the northeast of #japan🇯🇵 while filming a new promotional video for the hiking trail. This is one of my favourite spots along the 900km route- #Kurosaki viewpoint in #Iwate Prefecture. The Winter weather is a bit chilly but it’s been refreshing to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine with this team, who are working to promote tourism to the area. Tourism is one of the keys that can support local communities here, many of whom were impacted by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. #みちのく潮風トレイル #東北旅行 #japanhiking #trekjapan
